What you get with every plan
Ocsidian is the program — Editor, Engine, and a hosted agent with three reasoning modes. Plans buy more usage and unlock Apex, not a list of vendor model names.
Everyday reasoning — most affordable, built for volume and iteration.
Balanced power for real shipping — systems, features, and polish.
Premium depth for hard problems — Pro+ or $55+ grabs unlock it.
1× on Creator → 2.5× on Pro → 6×–27× on Studio. More runway, same stack.

Frequently Asked Questions
Credits power every agent task in the Ocsidian Editor. Each turn draws from your balance based on which reasoning mode you picked — Scout, Prime, or Apex — and how much work that task did. Scout sips, Prime drinks, Apex gulps when the problem is hard. Your monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle to your plan’s allocated amount — unused credits do not roll over. Recharge packs are mid-cycle top-ups if you burn through the month early.
They're the three reasoning modes inside Ocsidian — not a laundry list of third-party model names. Scout is everyday and most affordable. Prime is balanced power for real shipping. Apex is premium reasoning for hard problems, deep refactors, and boss-level systems work. You switch modes in the Editor; the picker shows estimated burn before you commit, and the live meter shows the real number as you go.
Apex thinks harder and works longer on tough problems — more reasoning per task means more credits. That's intentional: you get premium depth when you need it, and you stay on Scout or Prime for the everyday volume. The Editor always shows estimated burn before you send, so there are no surprises.
A task is one real ask — “add a grappling hook,” “fix this boss fight,” “light this level” — which typically runs 15–20 agent turns. Estimated appetites: Scout ≈75 credits, Prime ≈300, Apex ≈550–1,500. The live burn meter shows your real number as it happens — and most tasks land under the estimate.
The full Ocsidian program: Editor, BlackFrost Engine local builds, unlimited parallel agents, cloud sync, chat history, and a hosted agent pipeline tuned so every credit goes further. Plans buy you more usage (1× → 2.5× → 6×–27×) and unlock Apex plus studio perks — not a catalog of vendor model names.
Further than a raw setup. The Editor's agent pipeline is optimized end to end, so credits stretch across real game work — scenes, scripts, systems, and polish. Your dashboard shows burn and receipts so you always know what you got for the spend.
A plan is the simplest path: every month you get a fresh credit allocation that resets on your billing cycle — no rollover, no carryover games. Mid-cycle recharge packs are optional if you need more before the next reset. Subscriptions also unlock Apex (Pro+) and better usage multipliers.
Yes. Packs are optional one-time top-ups during a billing cycle if you run out early — they don't change your plan or next month’s allocation. Your plan still resets to its monthly amount on the next cycle. Nothing rolls over from unused monthly credits.
The Ocsidian Editor and BlackFrost Engine local builds are free to download and use — credits only power cloud agent work. There's no free credit allowance: grab $25 of credits or pick a plan when you're ready to run the agent.
The editor and engine keep working — only cloud agent turns pause. Grab a recharge pack for instant credits, or wait for your monthly reset. We nudge you at 15% remaining so it never surprises you.
